The Fair Trade & SDG Awards 2023/24 presentation ceremony was successfully held at MegaBox on 28 June 2024. There were a total of three tiers of awards, namely Distinguished Achievement Awards, Impact AchievementAwards and Impact Achievement Awards with a total of 14 companies/organizations being the awardees. The award recipients performed remarkably in the three assessment criteria: Business Operation, Staff Engagement and Commitment to the Society, in the engagement of Fair Trade movement and SDG practices, at selection.   One of the recipients of the Distinguished Achievement Awards, the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), has developed a close partnership with Fair Trade Hong Kong (FTHK) such as supporting the Fair Trade Charity Football Cup, movie  charity screening and organizing various workshops for employees. As the whole city is regaining momentum with the further easing of social distancing measures in the wake of the abated epidemic, families start to look for entertainment and leisure activities over weekends. The Fair Trade Fiesta 2022 is certainly a good choice for them! Organised by Fair Trade Hong Kong (FTHK), the Fair Trade Fiesta is to be launched on May 14 and 15 at D ·Park, Tsuen Wan, which echoes the World Fair Trade Day - a global fair trade celebration event on the second Saturday of May every year. The Fiesta this year presents a diverse array of activities and programmes including a Fair Trade bazaar, sustainable living workshops, exhibition, symposium and award ceremonies namely the “Fair Trade Award” for corporate partners and the “Jockey Club Fair Trade School Award”. FTHK looks forward to bringing every family and visitor an enjoyable and meaningful weekend in the early summer.   Carrying the theme of “Co-creating a Fair World”, the Fair Trade Fiesta of this year aims at connecting ethical traders and consumers to bring home the message that Fair Trade is not only about fairness in trade practices but it is also closely related to our daily lives in promoting environmental friendliness, responsible and sustainable consumption, gender equality and safe working conditions. By supporting ethical traders and their products, we hope to arouse public awareness on justice and fairness in international trade on the one hand, and on the other, help create an economic model conducive to sustainable development.   During the two-day fiesta, visitors can enjoy shopping in the bazaar where a wide variety of specialty products are available, and join the fun-filled workshops designed for all ages. Visitors can also have a nice opportunity to acquire useful tips for pursuing Fair Trade principles in their daily lives through the on-site exhibition and symposium. While having fun in the fiesta, visitors can learn more about Fair Trade movement and sustainability, which in turn will bring a positive impact on our daily lives. FTHK hopes to work with everyone in our community to influence the world through consumption by “Selecting Fairness”, “Fancying Fairness” and “Co-creating Fairness”!

Fair Trade Hong Kong (FTHK) has long been committed to drive Fair Trade movement in Hong Kong through various corporate engagement. By incorporating Fair Trade into business model, corporations will help alleviating poverty, reducing social inequality, contributing to sustainable development and ensuring a fair share of income of farmers and workers in developing countries. Therefore, the "Fair Trade Award", formerly known as the "Fair Trade Corporate Label", has been launched since 2018 to recognize corporations with strong commitment to Fair Trade in their businesses.   Regrettably, the challenge of novel coronavirus outbreak has become the major setback this year. The calligraphy and drawing on the plaque are handwritten and designed by Dream Impact Hong Kong's Uncle Tree, an awardee of Outstanding Employee presented by the General Chamber of Social Enterprises this month, who rejoined the workplace after his retirement.  Astonishingly, every plaque is unique.  We hope that you would treasure this plaque as much as we do.   Congratulations to the awardees, and we look forward to joining hands with you in promoting Fair Trade movement in Hong Kong.

Merrier Together x Fair Trade Christmas Limited Pop-Up To encourage ethical consumption and production through Fair Trade, Fair Trade Hong Kong, Lee Gardens Association and Hysan Place co-organised "Merrier Together x Fair Trade Christmas Limited Pop-Up" on 25-27 December 2020 at Urban Sky, 9/F, Hysan Place.     12 retail partners brought us various Fair Trade products, including coffee, tea, chocolate, handcrafted soap and cookies, organic food and skin care products, and mask covers etc. Approximately 1,200 people visited the bazaar, generating $60,000 turnover. We also launched a Fair Trade Quinoa Redemption Scheme, a total of 40 customers who spend $600 or more redeemed a pack of Fair Trade organic quinoa (500g). 九龍倉置業有限公司一直踴躍支持公平貿易，除了邀請香港公平貿易聯盟合作，舉辦綠色工作坊予員工外，亦將公平貿易理念拓展到租戶員工。 因應疫情嚴重，是次活動改為以網上形式進行。本會為九龍倉置業有限公司的租戶員工舉辦了咖啡渣蠟燭工作坊，希望教大家回收再造，減少浪費。同時希望藉工作坊讓參加者認識公平貿易，啟發參加者成為一個負責任消費者。網上工作坊反應非常熱烈，超過120名，來自68間公司的租戶員工參與。 本會亦持續向企業推廣公平貿易，希望將來會有更多企業將公平貿易理念融入企業，以及推廣至其客戶及市民大眾，繼而推動香港公平貿易運動及可持續發展。

逾半本港酒店無可持續認證產品香港公平貿易聯盟籲建可持續經濟圈   香港公平貿易聯盟於今日舉行的2019公平企業賞頒獎典禮上，公布於7月至10月期間所進行的《2019酒店業可持續發展表現調查》，調查37間本地酒店為客戶提供公平貿易、森林管理委員會及可持續海鮮認證的產品情況，發現超過一半的酒店都未有提供範圍內的可持續認證產品，呼籲各界企業及市民選擇有提供可持續認證產品之酒店。   根據全球網上預訂酒店平台的2019年網上問卷調查，受訪的73%旅客表示支持、並計劃選用支持可持續發展的酒店，反映全球旅客對於可持續酒店服務的需求與日俱增。然而本會的調查反映作為國際都市的香港，本地酒店業仍未有積極回應全球趨勢。 本會於7月至10月期間，先後派員至37間酒店視察場地，同時向酒店營業員查詢酒店宴會場地、住房及餐廳內提供的可持續認證產品，及後再以電郵提供問卷，確認認證產品的供應。調查的產品包括：公平貿易、森林管理委員會及可持續海鮮認證的產品。調查發現37間酒店中，19間（51%）未有提供/拒絕透露酒店各客戶供應可持續認證產品，只有7間（13%）酒店同時提供3種可持續認證產品。而森林管理委員會認證的產品在三項認證中較受歡迎，有12間酒店為客戶提供認證產品。 香港公平貿易聯盟企業可持續發展主任劉小姐認為：「對於今次調查發現超過一半的酒店沒有提供可持續認證產品，我個人十分擔憂本地酒店業是否能掌握市場趨勢，迎合本地及全球旅客的產品需求，我強烈呼籲酒店應重新檢視供應鏈及政策配套，承擔社會責任之餘，亦為旅客提供多種選擇，達到他們的要求及期望。」可持續認證對於客戶而言是更可信的選擇，同時亦有助減輕酒店採購部門在改善供應鏈時的工作量。 至於18間有提供可持續認證產品的酒店中，亦有8間的營業員於視察場地時沒法提供有關可持續認證產品的資料，反映部份酒店為前線職員提供可持續政策之培訓並不足夠，未能令職員向客戶闡釋酒店的可持續採購政策。另一方面，是次調查雖然大部份酒店都已停止供應魚翅，但不少酒店仍有提供其他瀕危海鮮產品，反映本地酒店的採購政策未有統一而清晰的可持續標準，減少業務對生態造成的影響。 2019年度公平企業賞大獎得主 - 香記咖啡集團有限公司，就成功為香港引入一款全新的公平貿易咖啡，供不同的餐飲業採購，為酒店業的供應鏈上提供更多可持續認證產品的選擇。香記咖啡代表譚俊輝表示：「很高興今年在業務上能繼續為公平貿易出一分力，不單擴闊客源，迎合市場對可持續發展的需求，而且向外界展示承擔社會責任的能力。」香港公平貿易聯盟項目即日會於網上公開是次調查結果，並呼籲不同客戶在選擇酒店時選擇支持可持續發展的酒店，同時歡迎各酒店盡快檢視供應鏈及可持續發展政策，引入更多可持續認證的產品，建立可持續的經濟圈。   2019 公平企業賞得獎名單：   獎項 公司名稱 大賞 香記咖啡集團有限公司 金賞 公平棧香記咖啡集團有限公司半島商品有限公司 銀賞 柏堡活動策劃有限公司阿喜皂房工作室有限公司九龍倉置業有限公司瑞士高比(香港)有限公司本識顧問有限公司中信國際電訊(信息技術)有限公司蕭尚健康生活有限公司Gift Love Company Limited嶺港有限公司ASM Pacific Technology Limited怡健堂中醫香港電燈有限公司香港逸東酒店捷成飲料有限公司康業服務有限公司Fund Wealth Limited (Soda Mall)TAG航空亞洲適健康世代有限公司Subway香港蜆殼有限公司 銅賞 啟勝管理服務有限公司 - 上水廣場中國移動國際有限公司新世界發展有限公司天職香港恒基兆業地產有限公司鴻福堂集團控股有限公司康宏環球控股有限公司第一太平戴維斯物業管理有限公司瑞信香港美聯物業代理有限公司君騛國際有限公司東瀛遊旅行社有限公司明里實業有限公司捷榮咖啡有限公司Meiyume (Hong Kong) Limited香港東電化有限公司陞域 (控股) 有限公司

女足落場大戰男足 力爭香港人認同 2019 公平貿易盃 — 最愛甲組腳誕生   連續第六年舉辦的公平貿易盃，今年度於賽馬會香港足球總會足球訓練中心舉行。賽事不單為巴基斯坦的婦女月經衞生開支籌款，同場更首次為香港女子足球員，舉行㇐人㇐票的「我最喜愛的女子足球員」選舉。選舉結果由效力愉園的馬澤純，在八位候選球員中脫穎而出，從民政事務局體育專員楊德強手上，接受「我最喜愛的女子足球員」的獎座。 馬澤純雙料獲獎香港女子足球仍屬業餘發展，亦遠不及本地男子足球普及，反映香港在不同層面，仍然需要提倡性別平等。因此，今年首次舉辦的「我最喜愛的女子足球員」選舉設有兩個獎項：由參與公平貿易盃的市民一人一票投選的「我最喜愛的女子足球員」，及由網民投票的「最具人氣女子足球員」。「我最喜愛的女子足球員」由效力愉園的馬澤純，以三票之微力壓陳詠詩，成為一人一票之選，而「最具人氣女子足球員」同樣由馬澤純，憑超過700位網民支持而奪得。 民政事務局體育專員楊德強為支持女足，出席頒獎及為球員打氣：「足球一向都是香港最受歡迎和受關注的運動之一，以往男足參與人數較多，在足總五年策略計劃的推動下，近年越來越多女士愛上足球，我期望日後無論男足或女足，都會更加普及和繼續提升水平，讓更多人享受足球的樂趣。」是次賽事以「敢做女人」為口號，回應本地女性投身足球運動的性別定型限制：「甲組腳」是本地嘲笑女性腳粗的用語。因此，今年的公平貿易盃合共邀請了七支本地甲組女子足球隊參賽，打破「甲組腳」的定型。 為巴基斯坦婦女月經平權2019 公平貿易盃由25支球隊角逐，為全球性別平等指數排名148/149的巴基斯坦籌款，解決當地婦女缺乏正確月經衞生認知的問題，並為當地婦女提供相關用品。香港公平貿易聯盟行政總監古偉牧曾到訪巴基斯坦，了解女性面對的限制：「當地有44%的女性無法負擔衞生巾的開支，就算有能力負擔，仍要面對『經血會污染水源』等誤解所帶來的社會壓力，因此需要世界各地的協助，為巴基斯坦女性打破不合理的限制。」香港公平貿易聯盟同步於網上舉行眾籌，為聯同公平貿易亞太區生產者聯盟、當地非政府組織AGAHE 及社企 Her Ground的項目籌募經費，希望短期內改善巴基斯坦婦女的生活。 今屆賽事選用由巴基斯坦製造的公平貿易足球，公平貿易足球生產工廠於巴基斯坦為女性提供穩定的就業機會，改善當地只有25%的婦女就業率，並提供安全工作環境及合理收入。唯公平貿易足球於香港市場極不普及，令香港的足球愛好者無從協助改善巴基斯坦婦女⾧遠的生活環境。香港公平貿易聯盟呼籲各個知名運動品牌盡快承諾採用公平貿易認證生產足球，亦鼓勵本地運動用品零售商引入公平貿易認證的足球品牌，令香港的足球愛好者有更多良心消費的選擇。 「第一太平」勇奪公平貿易盃是次比賽結果由「第一太平」以3:0 擊敗「聖公會KCIT」奪得公平貿易盃，成為公平貿易盃得主。而在多支女子參賽隊伍中，「愉園」就勇奪碗賽季軍，在一眾男子隊中突圍而出，成為最佳成績的女子足球隊。而碗賽的冠軍，則由「Stan Group」於決賽以2:1 擊敗對手奪得。     2019 公平貿易盃獎項一覽 獎項 得獎球隊/球員 我最喜愛的女子足球員 馬澤純 最具人氣女子足球員 馬澤純 公平貿易盃冠軍 第一太平 公平貿易盃亞軍 聖公會KCIT 公平貿易盃季軍 HKSPA 公平貿易盃殿軍 中心堂 自強碗冠軍 Stan Group 自強碗亞軍 美聯 自強碗季軍 愉園 神射手 麥仲秋（HKSPA） 最佳門將 鄭志威（第一太平） 公平競技獎 第一太平
